NATIONAL HIGHWAYS
CIVEX has a long and storied history of involvement in highway schemes. From complex technology installations under the Smart Motorways programme of works, to heavy civil engineering projects such as the “triple decker” roundabout installation at the A19/A1058 Junction Upgrade, we have seen it all.
Providing project management, commercial services, scheduling solutions, engineering deliverables and design assurance to both clients and contractors, CIVEX personnel have ensured exceptional results for stakeholders at all levels.
Civex perform their works in Canada in collaboration with BTTC.

Following delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the UK hosted the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Whilst the games were delayed, construction of the infrastructure required to host them continued. Following the demolition of buildings and local bridges, renewal of the highways and rail network were required to accommodate the crowds. CIVEX personnel from commercial and engineering disciplines ensured the timely completion of the A34 Perry Barr Infrastructure Project in May 2022, whilst securing a cost-effective solution for the City.

The extension of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT will run 9.2 kilometres from the future Mount Dennis LRT station to Renforth Drive and will operate mainly underground. Once complete, it will create a continuous rapid transit line that stretches from Scarborough, through midtown Toronto, and into Mississauga.

GO Train service covers much of the Greater Toronto area. The Lakeshore East Line extension will provide commuters along the second busiest GO Line in the region with a 15 minute service, and 20% faster journey times. GO Expansion on the Lakeshore East line will offer more frequent service during middays, evenings and weekends – giving customers more flexibility.

The Ontario Line is a 15.6 km rapid transit project under construction in Toronto, adding 15 new stations from Exhibition Place through downtown to the Eglinton Crosstown LRT at Don Mills Road. It will cut end-to-end travel time to 30 minutes or less—less than half the current 70-minute journey—and connect to over 40 other transit options, including TTC subway lines, GO rail lines, streetcars, and bus routes. The line is expected to attract 388,000 daily boardings, and will bring 227,500 more people within walking distance to transit, significantly easing congestion at major hubs like Bloor/Yonge, Eglinton, and Union stations.

As one of the largest rail schemes in UK History, HS2 is a pioneering project to connect the North and South of England with cutting-edge high speed rail. Our team have provided Clients, Contractors and Supply Chain stakeholders with all manner of technical expertise, from commercial and scheduling support, to engineering and design assurance.

The Midland Main Line programme covers the largest investment into the line since its completion in 1870. Electrification has been carried out in phases, initially from London to Corby. CIVEX personnel supported works in the form of robust project controls, scheduling support, risk and opportunity management and audit services.

The North West Electrification Programme was delivered over 5 phases, upgrading signalling and overhead lines across the Northwest of the UK. Our team led supply chain engagement and procurement for the Main Contractor Amey Rail during phases 4 and 5 of the programme and supported the contract management function throughout delivery.
